Shopping lists are great, they help you get out of the store fast and with what you need. What really saves us money though is our un-shopping list or things we don’t buy. Over the years, our un-shopping list has saved us tons of money and hassle. The biggest benefit is how simple it makes our shopping list. I love not having to track so many items!

Diapers are expensive. In 2016 alone, I spent $669.39 on Diapers, Pullups, Wipes, and Diaper Gini inserts. That’s $55.78 a month! If I wasn’t so overwhelmed and actually changed my kid’s diapers as often as needed, it would have been even higher. I’m thinking anything, ANYTHING, that can get your kid to potty train is going to save you so much money.

Look around your city. How many pizza places are there? I live in a tiny town and there are 3! Clearly if they can make a profit with such a small area, they must have a very low operating cost. Pizzas are so inexpensive to make. The dough costs next to nothing and a large handful of diced ham or one chicken breast is enough meat to feed a family. Vegetarian is even cheaper and the meat is hardly missed (for me at least). [Read more…]
